NO BEER OR ALCOHOL IS ALLOWED TO BE CONSUMED BY PLAYERS, NOR SPECTATORS AT ALL FIELDS DURING TOURNAMENT. Any player or spectator observed drinking or is deemed to be intoxicated will be ejected from game or tournament. Any team violating this rule shall be removed from tournament and forfeit all games.

GENERAL

• All players must register prior to start of their first game. There is no registration on Sunday.
• All teams MUST be ASA registered and provide their ASA card.
• Game Time is Forfeit Time
• All players must be present at game time to be listed in the batting order. To start a game, a minimum of 9 players on a team is required. Less than 9 players results in a forfeit. If an eligible 10th player becomes available during the course of the game, that player may be added to the bottom of the lineup.
• All bats are legal if they are in accordance to ASA approval. Any bat which is found to have flat surfaces, cracked / dented or altered from original form or indicates exceeds BPF 1.2 shall be confiscated by UIC, umpire or any tournament committee member. All bats will be checked prior to the start of the game, and must be made available to the umpire.
• Home Run Rule: B: Division - 3 C: Division - 1 D: Division – 0
  Excess home runs after limit will be an out to the batter. (Only with fenced fields)
• Run Rule: 20 runs after 4 innings 12 runs after 5 innings
• Protest: Any game /player protest must be addressed to the Plate Umpire at the time of the infraction and referred to the Protest Committee. Required protest fee is $100. If the protest is denied, the fee will NOT be returned.  

ASA Rules of play for Pool Play and Elimination Tournament, except for the following deviations.

Time Limits:

• Pool Play: No new inning shall begin after 55 minutes of play. Games may end with a tie score. Tie game scores will be included to determine seeding. A random draw of teams with the same record will determine each team’s seed according to the following record priority: 2-0-0, 1-0-1, 1-1-0, 0-0-2, 0-1-1, and 0-2-0.
• Elimination and Semi Games: No new inning shall begin after 55 minutes of play.
• Championship and IF Games shall be a full 7 innings, although the run rule is in effect.
• International Tiebreaker Rule will be used for all tie scores of Elimination, Semi,
  Championship and IF games.

Miscellaneous Information:

• You may bat up to 12 players and use 1 courtesy runner per inning, and must be the last out.
• Lineup cards must be completed in triplicate and given to the home plate umpire prior to the start of the game.
• Coin flip will determine home team in all games. The home team is the official scorekeeper for the game.
• All batters will start with a 1-1 count for Round Robin games.
• All batters will start with a 0-0 count for Double Elimination games.
• Any special field rules will be discussed on the field prior to the start of the game.
• Uniforms must be of like color and style with contrasting numbers.
• Jewelry must be removed in compliance with ASA rule.
• All players MUST have a NAGAAA rating that can be verified by that league commissioner. Any player not on a current team roster registered with NAGAAA will not be able to play.
• We will use the previous year’s NAGAAA ratings to determine eligibility.
• Teams playing in the “Open B” division will be allowed to add one “A” player, rating over a 20, to their roster, permitted that the top ten players are not over the 170 rating.
• Please have your team clean up any trash from your dugout following each game.
